1. Who we are

BeWaggly is developing an online platform to help dog rescue organizations, fosters and adopters coordinate care and stay connected. This notice describes the types of personal information the platform may handle and the privacy protections we intend to provide.

2. Information we may collect

Depending on which features you use, information may include your name, email address, account credentials, approximate location or ZIP code, rescue affiliation, foster preferences, application responses, dog care notes, photographs and messages you choose to share. Technical information such as IP address, browser details and security logs may also be processed by our hosting and authentication providers.

We will not request sensitive background-check information through a public form unless a suitable, separately disclosed screening process has been implemented.

3. How information may be used

Information may be used to operate accounts, evaluate applications, support rescue workflows, coordinate foster relationships, provide support, secure the platform and deliver features you request. We intend to limit use to legitimate platform purposes and clearly explain any additional uses before enabling them.

4. Foster discoverability and consent

Joining BeWaggly as a foster will not automatically make your profile visible to Member Rescues. Our planned Foster Network will require an explicit choice to opt in to discovery. Opted-in profiles may show selected information to eligible rescues for the purpose of invitations. A rescue invitation will not itself create a foster relationship or authorize placement of a dog.

5. Rescue relationships and access

Each Member Rescue is responsible for its own decisions about applicants, approvals and placements. BeWaggly intends to restrict access to rescue-specific records based on authorized roles and memberships. A relationship with one rescue does not automatically grant another rescue access to private information.

6. Photos, stories and community updates

We plan to provide choices about whether photos, adoption updates and dog stories can be shared with other participants or publicly. We will seek appropriate permission before featuring identifiable people or privately submitted content in promotional materials.

7. Service providers and disclosures

Operating the platform may require infrastructure, hosting, authentication, email and other service providers to process information on our behalf. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and platform security. A finalized policy will identify material provider categories and any additional disclosures.

8. Security and retention

We intend to use access controls and reasonable security measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Retention periods, backup handling and account deletion procedures will be documented as these workflows are finalized.

9. Your choices and requests

We intend to provide ways to update account details, manage optional visibility settings and request information about personal data. Privacy inquiries can be sent to contact@bewaggly.com.

10. Children

BeWaggly is not designed for children to register independently. A final policy will specify applicable age restrictions and procedures for any information relating to minors.

11. Changes to this notice

We may update this notice as the platform develops. Material changes should be reflected in a revised policy with a clear effective date.
